Παλίμψηστον:
1. για αρχαίο χειρόγραφο (πάπυρο, περγαμηνή), του οποίου το αρχικό κείμενο ξύστηκε για να γραφτεί πάνω σε αυτό άλλο κείμενο: ~ κώδικας. Παλίμψηστη περγαμηνή. || (ως ουσ.) το παλίμψηστο.
2. Ένα αντικείμενο, ένας τόπος ή περιοχή που αντανακλά την ιστορία του.

Palimpsest:

1. A manuscript, typically of papyrus or parchment, that has been written on more than once, with the earlier writing incompletely erased and often legible.

2. An object, place, or area that reflects its history.
